Hill describes herself as a realtionship therapist: She focuses on relationship first with self and then others. She specializes in trauma which she describes as 'those life experiences that cause an individual to make decisions about themselves and the world at a time when they are least resourceful. Trauma can be a capital 'T' such as life threatening events (accidents and illness) and sexual abuse or small 't' such as humiliation or loss." Suuch experiences invite depression, anxiety and stress. She believes in a holistic approach to treatment: insight, mindfulness, nutrition, exercise and emotional intelligence. She is an active therapist who engages in a partnership with her client to achieve change.
Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She offers treatment options and techniques tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, s/he works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. her hope is that in working together, a client moves in the direction of a richer, deeper quality of life.
